President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit on May 21, the presidential press service reported.

It was noted that visits by the organization's leadership to Uzbekistan have become regular. OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights missions actively participate in monitoring the country's electoral processes.

During the meeting, the results of joint projects in combating transnational threats, reforming the judicial system, promoting gender equality, protecting human rights, and developing mass media were discussed.

The sides emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in priority areas such as combating cybercrime, digitalization and artificial intelligence development, personnel training, youth support, and promoting the green agenda.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to prepare a new roadmap for cooperation and to hold a number of joint events within the framework of Uzbekistan and the OSCE.

An exchange of views also took place on topical issues on the regional and international agenda.
