The Uzbekistan U-17 national team will compete in Group E of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, to be held in Qatar from November 19 to December 13 this year.

The draw ceremony took place on May 21 at FIFA headquarters in Zurich. The tournament features 48 teams divided into 12 groups of four. FIFA previously announced that the match schedule with dates, venues, and kick-off times would be released after the draw.

Uzbekistan's group opponents are Italy, Jamaica, and Ivory Coast.

The U-17 World Cup is being held in Qatar for the second consecutive year. FIFA has stated that the tournament will be held annually, with Qatar and Morocco hosting through 2029 inclusive.

Uzbekistan qualified for the World Cup by advancing from the group stage of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup. The team defeated Korea in the quarterfinals but lost to Japan on penalties in the semifinals on May 19. The match ended 1-1 after regular time, with Japan winning 3-2 in the shootout.

From Asia, hosts Qatar, along with Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam qualified for the U-17 World Cup.

At the 2025 U-17 World Cup, Uzbekistan was eliminated in the round of 16, losing 2-3 to Italy.
