Uzbekistan plans to create a new sports structure — the "Confederation of Non-Olympic Sports".

A draft government resolution has been published on the portal for discussing regulatory legal acts.

According to the document, the new body will be called the "Confederation of Non-Olympic Sports of Uzbekistan". It is intended to unite federations and associations for sports not included in the Olympic, Paralympic, and Asian Games programs.

The authors envision the confederation as a link between the state and sports organizations.

The draft also provides for the creation of a unified electronic database of coaches and student-athletes, which is expected to be launched by the winter of 2026.

The confederation will be able to cooperate with international organizations, attract grants and private investments, and develop marketing and management in sports clubs.

Coaches of Uzbekistan's national teams in non-Olympic sports will be appointed in coordination with the Ministry of Sports.

Up to 5 billion soums from the state budget may be allocated for launching the structure and holding sports events in 2027. The confederation is planned to be located in the Mirabad district of Tashkent.
