Authorities in Kokand have intercepted a large shipment of narcotics and potent medications, seizing 2.4 kilograms of hashish and 5,600 tablets of the drug Regapen from a suspect.

The State Security Service reported that the operation was carried out by the Fergana Regional Department in coordination with customs and the Interior Ministry. The banned substances were discovered during a search of a Damas vehicle driven by a 31-year-old resident of Fergana district, in the presence of witnesses.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the man received the drugs from an accomplice in Kyrgyzstan and planned to sell them in Kokand. A criminal case has been opened under multiple articles of the Criminal Code, and the suspect has been arrested.

Earlier, law enforcement conducted a series of operations across various regions, resulting in the detention of several individuals involved in the sale of narcotics and potent drugs.
