Uzbekistan has sold a 50% state stake in UzSungwoo, a joint venture producing components for UzAuto Motors vehicles, via an electronic auction for 585.82 billion soums (approximately $49 million), according to data from the E-auksion platform.

The buyer is Roodell, an automotive company operating under the ADM Global group. The starting price of the lot was 390.54 billion soums, meaning the final price exceeded the initial by about 195.3 billion soums, or 50%. Based on the sale price, the entire company is valued at roughly 1.17 trillion soums.

Four companies had previously expressed interest in the auction, which took place on June 1 and lasted 24 minutes. A total of 10 confirmed price bids were recorded.

According to the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations, the founders of UzSungwoo are: the State Assets Management Agency — 50%, South Korea's Sungwoo Hitech Co., Ltd. — 40%, and I-zone Co., Ltd. — 10%. The charter capital of the enterprise is $14 million.

UzSungwoo is located in Fergana, near the international airport. The enterprise specializes in producing stamped and welded parts for Chevrolet Cobalt cars manufactured by UzAuto Motors. Production capacity is 120,000 sets of stamped and welded parts and assemblies, including 183 types of components for the Cobalt.

In November 2022, UzAuto launched a modern metal heat treatment workshop at UzSungwoo. The establishment of a fully automated hot stamping workshop enables the localization of 20 types of components worth over $19 million for the Chevrolet Tracker and Onyx models.

According to previously published data, the complex occupies 6.5 hectares and includes a three-story administrative building and production workshops with a total area of 21,600 square meters. The book value of fixed assets, considering 64% depreciation, was 396.96 billion soums.

UzSungwoo's net profit as of October 1, 2025, stood at 146.59 billion soums. The average number of employees is 1,060.

The buyer is required to maintain the company's core business activity for at least 10 years after the transaction. Additionally, the purchase and sale of production equipment must be coordinated with Uzavtosanoat. The investor must also comply with license agreements for technical support and the requirements of the master alliance agreement for using General Motors technologies.

Roodell is an automotive company operating within the ADM Global group, involved in car sales, production, service, logistics, leasing, and spare parts supply. The group is linked to the ADM Jizzakh plant, which assembles vehicles from Kia, Chery, Haval, and other brands. The dealer network includes over 90 official centers across Uzbekistan.

According to public data, Roodell's founders are three individuals: Mirbakhrom Asrorov — 33.35%, Doniyor Davletiyarov — 33.33%, and Murod-Mirza Sharipov — 33.32%. Doniyor Davletiyarov is also listed as the company's director. The company was registered on May 10, 2012.

In late May, Best Pipe and Parts purchased a 70% state stake in UzChasys, a manufacturer of automotive lighting devices in Namangan region, for nearly 333 billion soums. The same company had previously acquired two other enterprises in the automotive sector.
