Pilgrims who performed the Hajj have begun returning to Uzbekistan. The first flights arrived at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov on Tuesday, June 2.
According to the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the first to return were pilgrims from Tashkent. Welcoming ceremonies are also planned at international airports in ten regions of the country.
The return of compatriots from Jeddah will continue until June 19. Earlier, it was reported that on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, 100 compatriots were sent on a free Hajj pilgrimage under the 'Presidential Hajj' program.
