Uzbekistan has donated 40 tons of agricultural seeds to Afghanistan free of charge. The humanitarian aid includes seeds of cotton, rice, as well as vegetable and melon crops.
The delivery was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture through the Seed Development Center. Afghan farmers and agricultural organizations received 20 tons of certified cotton seeds resistant to various weather conditions, 20 tons of rice, and 500 kilograms of high-quality vegetable and melon seeds.
The aid is expected to strengthen Afghanistan's food security, increase rural employment, and introduce modern agricultural technologies.
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan in the agricultural sector continues to expand. Ongoing projects aim to develop economic ties, strengthen regional stability, and foster good neighborly relations between the two countries.
