Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. The Tax Committee has temporarily suspended the payment of 102.5 billion sums in social cashback for April due to suspicions of using counterfeit receipts.
According to the committee, over 200,000 individuals from the Unified Social Protection Register have been added to a list of suspicious buyers. They are alleged to have attempted to obtain VAT refunds through fake receipts from enterprises flagged for dubious transactions.
The inspections are linked to the social cashback system, which refunds VAT to citizens in the social protection register instead of the standard 1% cashback. A total of 649 companies are under review, which processed 36.8 trillion sums through online cash registers in 2025-2026. Based on such receipts, 771,100 citizens have already received 347.9 billion sums.
The Tax Committee also reminded that only receipts for personal purchases and services should be registered via the Soliq app. The agency urged citizens not to use receipts distributed on social media or provided by others.
Earlier, a scheme to embezzle 35 billion sums through Soliq Mobile was uncovered in the Andijan region.
