The Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Abdulaziz Akkulov, held talks with Amna Al Nowais, Director of Strategy at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation PJSC.

The parties discussed the potential of the local hotel sector and the development of pilgrimage tourism. The foreign delegation was presented with the large-scale Imam al-Bukhari complex near Samarkand and the tourism infrastructure being created around it.

The head of the Emirati company highly appreciated the republic's achievements in the tourism industry and confirmed the holding's intention to launch several well-known brands of various classes in the local market: 5-star premium hotels Rotana Hotels and Resorts, 4-star enhanced comfort hotels Edge by Rotana, and 3-star modern hotels Centro Hotels by Rotana.

The relevant committee expects that the arrival of a major international player will significantly improve the quality of hotel services in the country to world standards, enhance infrastructure, and stimulate the influx of foreign travelers.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the participation of the holding's management in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled for June 16-19. Additionally, representatives of the Arab side will organize a repeat working visit to Uzbekistan for a detailed inspection of existing hotels and analysis of new promising sites in the hospitality sector.
