Yandex Uzbekistan has launched a project to employ people with hearing disabilities in Yandex Lavka darkstores in Tashkent. Specialists will perform tasks such as collecting and packing orders, receiving and placing supplies, monitoring product availability, and maintaining order in the warehouse.

The project is implemented jointly with the public association of people with disabilities in Tashkent, 'Sharoit Plus'. The organization helps select candidates, prepares them for interviews, and supports specialists during adaptation. Additionally, 'Sharoit Plus' provides Uzbek sign language interpreters and conducts training for Yandex Lavka teams on interacting with deaf and hard-of-hearing specialists.

Training materials for specialists have been supplemented with subtitles, and instructions for interacting with specialists with hearing disabilities have been prepared for darkstore teams.

Men and women over 18 who are ready to work full-time and read written information can apply for cooperation.

'For the development of an inclusive environment, not only technological solutions are important, but also a systematic approach to creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Yandex Uzbekistan is consistently developing this area — adapting services, creating an accessible environment, and launching new opportunities for people with hearing disabilities. It is important that the public association 'Sharoit Plus' also participates in the project,' noted Mansurbek Olloyorov, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Social Protection, Director of the National Social Protection Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Yandex Uzbekistan is developing accessibility and adapting services and the work environment for people with disabilities. Nine of the company's services, including Yandex Go, Alice AI, Mail, Browser, Yandex Music, and Yandex Books, support functions for blind and visually impaired users. In Uzbekistan, the service is developing a social taxi project together with the National Social Protection Agency. About 700 deaf and hard-of-hearing driver partners cooperate with Yandex Go, and passengers have access to trips with special options for people with disabilities.
