A new dedicated bus lane of category 'A' has been introduced on one of Tashkent's busiest routes, serving over 10 bus lines and used daily by more than 50,000 passengers.

According to the Traffic Management Center, the lane, implemented on the section from Buyuk Ipak Yoli metro station to the intersection with Salom Street, has already improved traffic flow and travel predictability.

Before its introduction, the average bus speed was 18–20 km/h; now it has increased to nearly 23 km/h, representing a 28% improvement.

During peak hours, buses traverse this section 25–30% faster than general traffic. Previously, the journey took 7–8 minutes; now it takes about 4 minutes, saving 3–4 minutes per trip.

Passengers and drivers have already noticed the changes: trips are faster and more stable, with less dependence on traffic jams.

The Traffic Management Center plans to continue developing the public transport priority system to make travel more convenient, faster, and predictable for residents.

Notably, Tashkent has also tightened parking enforcement—cars parked in unauthorized areas are now towed to impound lots.
