A 21-year-old man identified as T.S. has been sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest by the Almazar District Criminal Court for sexual harassment and petty hooliganism, according to a court ruling reported by UzNews.uz.

The incident occurred in a private educational institution near the Beruni metro station.

The defendant approached a woman he had met earlier and attempted to pull her close and hug her against her will.

After the incident, the victim returned with a female friend, who confronted the offender. In response, he verbally abused her using obscene language.

The court found T.S. guilty under Part 1 of Article 41-1 (Sexual Harassment) and Article 183 (Petty Hooliganism) of the Administrative Code of Uzbekistan, sentencing him to 10 days of administrative detention.
