The Tashkent city administration has presented a new urban development project called 'Daryo Boyi Business City'. The project aims to create comfortable public spaces for recreation, work, and family leisure, as well as to generate new jobs and boost the service, tourism, trade, and entrepreneurship sectors.
The project involves the comprehensive development of a 24-kilometer stretch along the Chirchiq River. Plans include landscaping the riverbanks on both sides, constructing modern residential and business quarters, developing public spaces, and improving transport and engineering infrastructure. An initiative to create 12 artificial lakes in Tashkent, already underway, was also discussed.
According to the city administration, 'Daryo Boyi Business City' will unlock the potential of the riverside areas, expand the urban environment, connect new residential and business zones with existing infrastructure, and create additional attractions for residents and visitors.
Special attention is paid to transport accessibility, development of utility networks, creation of green zones, improvement of the environmental situation, and formation of open public spaces.
Following the presentation, the project solutions were reviewed in detail. Relevant authorities have been given recommendations to further refine the concept, taking into account residents' comfort, environmental sustainability, safety, and economic efficiency.
