On June 16 at approximately 03:10, a serious traffic accident involving two cars occurred in the Uchtepa district on the Tashkent Ring Road.

According to preliminary data, a driver born in 2002, driving a Lacetti, made a sharp left turn at an intersection when it collided with a BYD car traveling in the opposite lane.

It was found that the BYD was driven by a teenager born in 2010 who did not have a driver's license. Witnesses reported that the car was moving at high speed. The impact caused the BYD to damage a public transport stop.

As a result of the accident, three people died: the driver of the Lacetti and two passengers born in 1999 and 2004.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. Investigative actions are underway to establish all circumstances of the incident, including the reasons for entering the oncoming lane and the circumstances of the minor driving the vehicle.
