Uzbekistan has established a specialized higher education institution — the Higher Tax School under the Tax Committee — based on the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University, according to a presidential decree.
The new school will serve as the primary scientific and methodological center for training, retraining, and advanced training of specialists, as well as conducting fundamental and applied research in taxation. It will have academic, financial, and organizational independence.
Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, the school will admit students to bachelor's programs with a minimum duration of three years. From the 2027/2028 academic year, master's and postgraduate programs are planned to be launched.
Specialists will be trained in key areas: "Taxes and Taxation", "Digital Tax Administration", "Tax Law", and "Financial Control". Graduates will receive a state-recognized diploma and additional documents confirming completion of courses for qualification certificates as tax consultants and auditors.
Students holding international professional certificates in accounting and auditing (ACCA, DipIFR, CAP/CIPA, CIA, ACA) will have their expenses reimbursed for further training required to obtain relevant qualifications.
From the 2026/2027 academic year, up to 50 state grants will be allocated annually, and separate admission quotas will be established. The state order for the "Taxes and Taxation" direction will primarily be directed to the Higher Tax School.
