German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife have arrived in Tashkent on an official visit. They were greeted at the Tashkent-Humo International Airport by Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov and other officials.

According to the visit program, the heads of state will hold talks in both narrow and expanded formats. The discussions will focus on further deepening multifaceted Uzbek-German relations.

Special attention will be paid to expanding practical cooperation in trade, industrial cooperation, energy and green technologies, transport and logistics, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, agriculture, as well as boosting educational and humanitarian exchanges.

The sides will also exchange views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda. A number of new joint projects and programs are expected to be launched during the talks.
