The driver of a Damas vehicle injured in a traffic accident in the Paxtachi district of Samarkand region has died in hospital. This was reported by the “Millar” program. Earlier, the Traffic Safety Service had stated that he was taken to a medical facility with injuries.

Following videos circulating on social media, the Traffic Safety Service provided details of the incident. According to the report, the accident occurred on June 9 at 18:10 on the 138th kilometer of the M-37 highway, passing through the “Mirza Olim” neighborhood in Paxtachi district.

Preliminary data indicates that 35-year-old driver A.R., while overtaking vehicles ahead, moved onto the unpaved roadside. As a result, he lost control of the Damas and collided with the rear of a truck traveling in the same direction.

Program correspondents spoke with the driver's family members, who confirmed the information.

Currently, an investigation is being conducted by the responsible officers of the Paxtachi District Traffic Safety Department.
