In the Andijan region, law enforcement officers seized nearly 2.5 kilograms of hashish from illegal circulation during special operations. Criminal cases have been initiated on two episodes, and suspects have been detained.
The operations were carried out by employees of the State Security Service for the Andijan region, the Department of Internal Affairs, and customs.
In the first episode, a Lasetti car was stopped and inspected in the Asaka district. During the inspection, 2 kilograms of hashish were found on three residents of Namangan and Margilan aged 41 to 55. The drugs were registered as physical evidence.
Another case was recorded in the Markhamat district. During an operational measure, 497 grams of hashish were seized from a Cobalt car driven by a 40-year-old resident of Kuva city.
It is noted that such prohibited substances are usually smuggled into the country from abroad.
Criminal cases have been initiated against the suspects in both cases, and they have been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
Law enforcement urges citizens to report such offenses via the short number 1520. Confidentiality is guaranteed.
Earlier, another attempt at illegal drug trafficking was thwarted in the Fergana region. A dealer was transporting a large batch of hashish and capsules of a potent drug in his car for sale in Tashkent.
