The second stage of the World Boxing Cup, organized under the World Boxing version, took place in Guiyang, China. A total of 177 male and 123 female athletes from 40 countries participated in the competition.
Uzbekistan fielded a full team across 10 men's and 9 women's weight categories. The team secured an impressive haul of 4 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
Seven Uzbek boxers reached the finals. Gold medalists include: Nigina Uktamova (57 kg) – defeated India's Prachi 5-0; Abdumalik Khalokov (60 kg) – beat Brazil's Luiz Gabriel 5-0; Javokhir Ummataliev (80 kg) – edged Brazil's Vanderlei Pereira 3-2; Turabek Khabibullaev (90 kg) – declared winner by walkover due to opponent's injury.
Silver medals were won by Farzona Fozilova (48 kg), Asilbek Jalilov (50 kg), and Oltinoy Sotimboyeva (80 kg). Bronze medals went to Arman Makhanov, Akmaljon Isroilov, Aziza Zakirova, and Sitora Turdibekova.
The third and final stage of the tournament is scheduled for November in Tashkent.
