According to Uzgidromet and international weather centers, most regions of Uzbekistan will experience temperatures exceeding +40°C this week. On Monday, the north, Bukhara, and Navoi regions will see thermometers rise to +44°C, the south to +42°C, and other areas to +36…+38°C.
Early in the week, heavy rains are expected in the north and Fergana Valley. Intense heat will trigger cyclonic processes, leading to dusty winds and subsequent precipitation. Moist air from the south and east increases the likelihood of rain in Tashkent region and the valley.
On Tuesday, the hottest weather shifts to southern regions, while Bukhara and Navoi remain hot. By Wednesday, temperatures in the north, Bukhara, and Navoi drop to +37°C, but the south stays hot until the weekend. From Friday, a new heat wave spreads from the north, pushing temperatures above +40°C in Tashkent region and the valley during the weekend.
Precipitation is forecast for Monday and Tuesday in the north and valley, Tuesday in the Kyzylkum desert, and Wednesday in Samarkand, Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Tashkent regions, and mountainous areas. Other regions will remain dry. In the mountains, daytime temperatures reach +30°C, with possible afternoon showers.
Health risks: Temperatures above +40°C are dangerous for the elderly and those with hypertension. Sunstroke is a risk without head protection. Recommendations: drink plenty of plain water, reduce fatty meat consumption, eat fruits and vegetables, and avoid going outside between 12:00 and 16:00.
Strong winds and dust storms are expected early in the week in the north and deserts, and on Wednesday in the valley. Sharp atmospheric pressure changes may cause a 'baric trough,' affecting weather-sensitive individuals.
Space weather: On Sunday, an M-class solar flare occurred, with plasma heading toward Earth. A yellow-level magnetic storm (3-4 points) is forecast for Wednesday. Those sensitive to magnetic storms should take precautions.
The most favorable days for health are Wednesday and Thursday. Overall, the week will feature unstable hot and stuffy weather.
