In the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, two children drowned in the Bo'zsuv canal, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. According to the ministry, on June 17, 10-year-old K.Y. and 8-year-old K.B., residents of the Obod mahalla, accidentally fell into the canal flowing near their home.

On June 21, divers from the Tashkent Regional Emergency Department recovered the body of one child. Search and rescue operations for the second child are ongoing.

Rescue teams are conducting extensive searches along the canal, but the whereabouts of the second child remain unknown. Local residents and rescuers are working around the clock.

This tragedy once again highlights the dangers of children being left unsupervised near water bodies. Experts urge parents to keep children away from canals and ditches.
