Shokhrukh Majidov, a correspondent for the online publication Kun.uz, has been awarded the ‘Kelajak Bunyodkori’ medal. The corresponding decree was signed by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on June 25 in connection with the Day of Press and Mass Media Workers.

State awards were given to journalists, editors, TV and radio hosts, correspondents, bloggers, and other media representatives for their contribution to the development of freedom of speech and press, ensuring citizens' constitutional rights in the information sphere, strengthening the principles of openness and transparency, covering democratic reforms and achievements of New Uzbekistan, as well as active public activities.

The ‘Kelajak Bunyodkori’ medal was also awarded to bloggers Ravshanbek Melikuziev, creator of the Platina.uz and Pinkod.uz pages on social networks, and Makhlie Tulkinova, author of the Sinchalak blog page.

In addition, employees of the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan, the National Television and Radio Company, the newspapers ‘Yangi O‘zbekiston’, ‘Narodnoye Slovo’, ‘Samarkand Vestnik’, as well as publications Daryo.uz, Xabar.uz, and other media were awarded orders and medals.
