A traffic accident in Asaka district resulted in the death of a minor passenger of a Damas vehicle, the regional traffic police reported.

The accident occurred on June 23 at around 12:30 p.m. on the 325th kilometer of the A-373 Tashkent-Osh highway, passing through the territory of the Dasturkhonchi mahalla.

It was reported that the 1987-born driver of the Damas, while turning left at a regulated intersection, failed to yield to an oncoming ZIL-138 truck, causing a collision.

At the time of the accident, a minor passenger born in 2011 was inside the Damas. The teenager sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Despite doctors' efforts and resuscitation measures, the teenager could not be saved.

A pre-investigation check is being conducted regarding the incident.
