In Tashkent's Karasu-6 neighborhood, a contractor previously held administratively liable has again sparked an environmental scandal. During the construction of an apartment building, perennial trees were damaged, and a fire broke out on the site.

The inspection was prompted by citizens' complaints on social media. They reported that the contractor, despite earlier administrative penalties, was again destroying healthy, mature trees during the construction of a multi-story residential building in the Mirzo Ulugbek district.

State inspectors from the Tashkent City Department of Ecology and Climate Change for the Mirzo Ulugbek district visited the site and conducted an inspection. They confirmed violations.

An administrative protocol was drawn up against the responsible official who failed to ensure compliance with environmental legislation. A fine of 10.3 million soums was imposed. The environmental damage was estimated at 28.8 million soums.
