Construction and reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems have begun in Andijan, Uzbekistan. The work started after the issue was highlighted during a visit by the head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva.

According to Podrobno.uz, a report was immediately submitted to the president to resolve the issue promptly. Soon after, large-scale work began on Baburshah and Altynkul streets.

98.9 billion soums have been allocated for the project, and more than 60 pieces of heavy machinery have been involved in the work.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Tashkent's drinking water supply coverage reached 98.6%, and central sewerage coverage reached 94%.
