TASHKENT – Podrobno.uz. The Competition Committee of Uzbekistan has completed its analysis of visa center operations in the country. According to the findings, VFS Global Services and Vizametric have been declared as holding a dominant market position, while TLS Contact was recognized as a company with superior bargaining power in the visa services market for Germany and France.

VFS Global Services provides visa services for several European and other countries, including Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Israel. Vizametric was found to be dominant in the market for visa services to the United States.

TLS Contact, meanwhile, was identified as having superior bargaining power when providing visa services for Germany and France.

The Committee reminded that using a dominant position or superior bargaining power to restrict competition or infringe consumer rights may lead to legal liability.

Earlier, the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights sent official letters to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Prosecutor's Office following citizen complaints about TLS Contact's activities.

It is worth recalling that blogger Nikita Makarenko drew attention to the issue, sharply criticizing the work of the TLS Contact visa center.
