In the first five months of 2026, the volume of market services in Uzbekistan exceeded 533.1 trillion soums, marking a 16.5% increase year-on-year, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The largest segment was trade, with 141.7 trillion soums. Accommodation and food services ranked second at 90.7 trillion soums, followed by transport at 85.3 trillion soums.

Financial services reached 84.2 trillion soums, communication and IT services 39 trillion soums, education 18.8 trillion soums, and real estate operations 11.8 trillion soums.

Personal services to the population amounted to 9.3 trillion soums, medical services to 9.1 trillion soums, computer and household appliance repair to 6.5 trillion soums, rental services to 6.4 trillion soums, and architectural, engineering, and technical services to 6.1 trillion soums. Other services accounted for 24 trillion soums.

Earlier, it was reported that there are over 30 entrepreneurs per thousand residents in Uzbekistan.
