The government of Uzbekistan has decided to fully digitize the operations of markets and shopping complexes. The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution to create a unified electronic platform called E-bozor.
The platform will enable online lease agreements, tracking of available trading spaces, and increased transparency of financial transactions. All payments – rent, one-time fees, and services – will be processed through the digital system.
Information about trading spaces and areas will be entered into a single database, and lease agreements will be converted to electronic format. Online monitoring of market operations will also become possible.
Infrastructure will be upgraded: parking lots and restrooms will be equipped with automated payment systems, illegal structures will be demolished, and territories will be improved.
The E-bozor platform will first be launched in test mode on October 1, 2026, within the 'Soliq' system. Full launch is scheduled for March 1, 2027. The system will display data on markets, available trading spaces, and advertisements, and allow users to send electronic inquiries to market administration.
The Tax Committee will be responsible for developing the platform and monitoring its operation. Digitization is expected to help reduce the level of the shadow economy in this sector.
Previously, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a plan to halve the shadow economy by 2030.
