President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Belarus on July 8-9 at the invitation of Alexander Lukashenko, according to the press service of the Uzbek president.

The program includes high-level talks in Minsk, focusing on further expanding Uzbek-Belarusian multifaceted partnership relations.

Key issues will include increasing mutual trade turnover, deepening cooperation in agriculture, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, light industry, food industry, and other sectors. Special attention will be given to expanding cultural and humanitarian exchange programs.

Following the summit, a broad package of bilateral documents in priority areas is expected to be adopted.

It is also noted that ahead of the visit, the third Interregional Forum will be held in Minsk with participation of delegations from regions and business circles of both countries.
