Uzbekistan Airports and Chinese airline Air China have discussed the possibility of increasing the frequency of regular flights on the Beijing-Tashkent-Beijing route from three to seven per week, according to a press release from Uzbekistan Airports.
The talks took place at the central office of Uzbekistan Airports. During the meeting, the parties also considered prospects for expanding Air China's route network in Uzbekistan.
Air China representatives showed particular interest in the airports of the Fergana Valley. The airline expressed interest in exploring the potential of opening air links with this region, noting its significant potential for developing tourism, business, and humanitarian ties.
Uzbekistan Airports emphasized its readiness to further develop the partnership with Air China, aimed at expanding the route network, increasing passenger traffic, and strengthening transport connectivity between Uzbekistan and China.
