Kun.uz previously published a story about a girl who suffered years of sexual abuse by her stepfather. The victim's mother contacted the editorial office, alleging that her daughter was pressured during the investigation, with threats such as 'your brothers will end up on the street.' The stepfather was an employee of the 'Inson' Social Services Center.

According to the court verdict, A.A., who was working at the 'Inson' Social Services Center at the time of the crime, was found guilty of offenses under Articles 167, Part 2, clauses 'v' and 'g' (Embezzlement by prior conspiracy through abuse of official position) and Article 119, Part 4 (Forcible satisfaction of sexual desire in an unnatural form against a person under 14 years of age) of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to 14 years and 5 months of imprisonment.

Additionally, the convicted man was stripped of the right to hold leadership positions and positions involving material responsibility in state bodies. He will serve his sentence in a general-regime colony.

As previously reported, the victim's mother, who appealed to Kun.uz, stated that the girl was not only a victim of long-term sexual abuse but also faced psychological pressure during the investigation. According to her, the child was told things like 'your brothers will end up on the street.' The mother noted that this negatively affected her daughter's mental state and called for an objective investigation.

One of the circumstances that caused public outcry was that the convicted man worked at the 'Inson' Social Services Center. 'Inson' centers are state organizations that provide social services to needy segments of the population, including children, women, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

According to the press service of the Supreme Court, the parties have the right to appeal the first-instance court verdict to the Judicial Panel on Criminal Cases of the Tashkent Regional Court within the time limits established by law.
