President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has appointed a new head of the Family and Women's Committee. Dilnozakhan Kattakhanova has been named Deputy Prime Minister and Chairperson of the committee.

According to presidential press secretary Sherzod Asadov, Kattakhanova was relieved of her post as First Deputy Director of the Youth Affairs Agency due to her new appointment. She replaces Zulaykho Makhkamova, who has moved to another position.

Earlier, Mirziyoyev appointed Sardor Umurzakov as Director of the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms. Consequently, Umurzakov was dismissed as Advisor to the President on Strategic Development, and the position was abolished.
