Uzum, Uzbekistan's leading digital ecosystem encompassing e-commerce, banking, installment services, delivery, and auto sales, has become one of the country's largest employers, with its workforce exceeding 10,000 people.
The primary driver of growth was Uzum Market, whose staff increased from 5,567 to 6,948 — nearly a quarter in the first half of 2026. This was fueled by the rapid expansion of order pickup points, now over 2,000 locations across 628 settlements.
Many new pickup points operate under a franchise model, where entrepreneurs receive startup support including location advice, design projects, and guaranteed income, creating additional jobs in their cities.
The cross-docking warehouse network expanded to nine cities, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, and Navoi, allowing entrepreneurs to ship goods nationwide without sending them to the Tashkent hub.
Uzum Fintech's headcount grew by 16.1% both in Tashkent and regions, with employees acting as digitalization ambassadors, teaching relatives to use modern IT services.
Uzum not only creates thousands of jobs but also builds digital economy infrastructure, opening new opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, and prosperity in Uzbekistan.
