The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has released a limited series of commemorative silver coins dedicated to the 1st International Forum of Islamic Civilization. Each coin comes with an individually numbered certificate.
The coins are intended as souvenir gifts for forum participants. Their design reflects the main themes of the event: peace, tolerance, science, enlightenment, and cultural heritage preservation.
The commemorative coins are also available for purchase at one of the banks. In addition to the forum series, coins honoring the Uzbekistan national team's qualification for the 2026 World Cup and the 690th anniversary of Amir Temur's birth are also on sale.
The forum is taking place from July 7 to 11 in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Termez. It brings together scientists, theologians, religious leaders, representatives of international organizations, and experts from dozens of countries.
Earlier, at the forum, Shavkat Mirziyoyev called for knowledge to counter ignorance and emphasized the role of enlightenment in societal development.
