Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. During a trip to Bekabad, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the 'Dustlik' mahalla and inspected the renovated area along the 'Khos Yoz' canal. Previously abandoned, the coastal zone has been transformed into a modern public space featuring a promenade, bridges, commercial facilities, and recreational areas.

The centerpiece is the landscaped embankment of the 'Khos Yoz' canal. A three-kilometer pedestrian path was built, protective barriers totaling 5.4 kilometers were installed, and two bridges were constructed.

Along the embankment, 27 trade and service facilities have opened, creating 167 permanent jobs.

The head of state then visited the 'Dustlik' mahalla, which covers an area of 28 hectares. It includes 33 apartment buildings, a private kindergarten, a football field, 16 sports and children's playgrounds, and a library.

Thanks to investments totaling 1.1 billion soums from entrepreneurs, 10 service facilities and one café were opened in the mahalla, creating an additional 25 jobs.

Using funds from an initiative group, the 'Vatanparvar' park was built, featuring samples of military equipment and service facilities. A summer wooden gazebo was set up for meetings and events for veterans and elderly residents.

During a meeting with mahalla activists and labor veterans, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that all ongoing projects should primarily improve people's lives.

'All changes must be noticeable in daily life. People should feel the results of reforms in their mahalla and city,' the president said.

After concluding his trip to Bekabad, the head of state returned to Tashkent.

Recall that a new electric train was launched between Tashkent and Bekabad, and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally rode it from the capital to Bekabad.
