The development of the tourist street Taras Shevchenko in the Mirabad district of Tashkent continues. It will be extended by almost 400 meters, and public spaces and infrastructure for recreation, walking, and business will be expanded.

The new section covers the area from the intersection of Taras Shevchenko Street with Fidokor Street to the intersection with Shakhrisabz Street.

Currently, dismantling work is underway, followed by concreting and landscaping.

After the project is completed, residents and guests of the capital will have more places for walking, relaxation, and entertainment. Authorities expect that the expansion of the street will open new opportunities for business, help develop the service sector, and create additional jobs.

The reconstruction is planned to be completed by the end of 2026.

Recall that this year, 18 more tourist streets will appear in Tashkent, 500 new facilities will open, and up to 7,000 people will be employed.
