A tragic incident occurred in the city of Angren, Tashkent region. On July 16 at 23:53, the sister of a 26-year-old woman reported to the police that her sister and her 31-year-old fiancé had left home in a Gentra car and gone missing.

During search operations, the lifeless bodies of the young couple were found inside the car, which was parked in a garage. Preliminary forensic examination indicates that death was caused by carbon monoxide poisoning, cerebral and pulmonary edema, and acute cardiovascular failure.

Bahodir Butayev, the chairman of the mahalla where the young man lived, said the couple was preparing for their wedding. “They were supposed to get married. They came to our mahalla and had conversations. The bride and groom were from very good, educated families. We never heard of any objections or quarrels. We couldn’t believe this. We are in mourning. Everything was ready for the wedding. As you can see, our wedding has turned into a funeral,” he said.

The city prosecutor's office has launched a pre-investigation check into the incident. Official information is awaited.
