Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, renowned dancer and teacher Nasiba Madrakhimova has passed away at the age of 80. She was one of the brightest representatives of Uzbek national dance and trained an entire generation of artists.
Nasiba Madrakhimova died on July 23. Her death was reported by journalist Nasriddin Asriddinov.
Madrakhimova was the lead soloist of the Mukarram Turgunbayeva ensemble "Bakhor", where she worked for more than 20 years and made a significant contribution to the development of national choreography. Her legacy and contribution to choreography will forever remain part of the history of Uzbek culture.
In addition to her stage career, she taught at the Uzbek School of Choreography for over 30 years, training a whole generation of dancers and passing on the traditions of national dance.
In 1981, Nasiba Madrakhimova was awarded the title "Honored Artist of Uzbekistan" and also received the Shukhrat Order. Throughout her career, she participated in international tours, representing Uzbek art abroad.
