On July 24, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev celebrated his 69th birthday. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to the head of state.

In his message, Putin noted that Mirziyoyev's tenure as president has been marked by successful socio-economic development of Uzbekistan and a rise in its international prestige.

"It is difficult to overestimate your long-standing personal contribution to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Uzbekistan," the message reads.

"I sincerely value our good, comradely relations. And of course, I will be glad to continue constructive dialogue and close joint work on pressing bilateral, regional and international issues," Putin added.

The Russian president wished Mirziyoyev good health, happiness, prosperity and new achievements for the benefit of the friendly people of Uzbekistan.
