According to a report by the National Statistics Committee, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in Uzbekistan for January-June 2026 was 7.091 million sums. Compared to the same period last year, the figure increased by 18.4%.

Among regions, the highest average salary remains in the capital — 12.014 million sums, up 18.2% year-on-year. Second place is Navoi region with 8.723 million sums, followed by Tashkent region with 6.676 million sums. The lowest average salary was recorded in Kashkadarya region — 4.865 million sums.

The highest growth rates compared to the same period last year were observed in Jizzakh region (20.4%), Namangan region (19.4%), Tashkent city (18.2%), and Tashkent region (17.8%).

By economic activity, the highest average monthly salaries were in banking, insurance, leasing, credit, and intermediary activities — 19.1 million sums. Next are information and communication (17.417 million sums), transportation and storage (11.07 million sums), industry (8.267 million sums), trade (7.651 million sums), and construction (7.028 million sums).

The lowest average salaries were in healthcare and social services (4.44 million sums) and education (4.977 million sums). However, these sectors were among the leaders in salary growth — 20.1% and 20.3%, respectively.

Within specific industries, the highest salaries are earned by reinsurance employees — an average of 26.014 million sums per month, specialists in auxiliary financial and insurance activities — 24.896 million sums, and workers in computer programming, consulting, and related services — 22.235 million sums.

In education, the average salary for university teachers was 12.047 million sums, technical and vocational education workers — 5.372 million sums, general secondary education — 4.669 million sums, and preschool education — 2.721 million sums.

Recall that in the first quarter of this year, the average nominal accrued salary in Uzbekistan was 6.82 million sums. Tashkent also led with 11.7 million sums.
