Rumors circulating on social media claimed that residents of Tashkent were experiencing diarrhea, high fever, and other symptoms after swimming in pools. The city's Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health stated that this information is false.

According to the department, all 57 pools in Tashkent are under constant sanitary and epidemiological control. Every month, specialists take water samples and test them for bacteriological and sanitary-hygienic indicators.

Since the beginning of the year, over a thousand samples have been tested. In seven seasonal pools where violations of sanitary norms were found, the water was completely replaced, and the facilities underwent cleaning and disinfection.

The department also emphasized that to date, no cases of poisoning or infectious diseases related to pool visits have been registered. No emergency reports of such incidents have been received.

Residents were urged not to trust rumors and to rely only on official information.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan has a program to compensate entrepreneurs for the construction of modern pools. The state reimburses up to 50% of costs, but not more than 100 million soums.
