A 21-year-old woman was killed in a road accident in Jizzakh region in the early hours of the morning. The car she was driving reportedly veered off the road at high speed and collided with a tree.

According to the regional traffic safety department, the accident occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Islam Karimov Street in the Uratepalik neighborhood. The woman, driving a Gentra sedan, lost control of the vehicle, which then ran off the road and struck a tree at high speed.

The driver sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the intensive care unit of the Jizzakh Regional Medical Association. Despite efforts by medical staff, she succumbed to her injuries.

An 18-year-old female passenger in the car also sustained injuries and is currently under medical supervision.

Social media reports have speculated that the deceased may have been blogger Orzigul Urazmatova. However, the official traffic police report does not disclose the victim's identity, only listing the initials 'O.U.' There has been no official confirmation that the blogger was involved.

A pre-investigation inquiry has been launched by the investigative department of the Jizzakh City Internal Affairs Directorate. The circumstances and exact cause of the accident are being established.

Earlier, a separate fatal accident occurred in Chirchiq, where a Lasetti driver lost control and crashed into a tree.
