The Secretariat of the Children's Ombudsman received an appeal from a resident of the Urta-Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, who reported a crime against the sexual integrity of his minor child. This was reported by the press service of the Commissioner for Children's Rights.

According to the applicant, the unlawful actions against the child were committed by a local resident.

At the request of the Children's Ombudsman, the materials were studied by the prosecutor's office. During the inspection, the previously adopted decision to refuse to initiate a criminal case was overturned, after which an additional pre-investigation check was carried out.

Based on its results, the suspect was charged under Part 3 of Article 129 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (Depraved actions against a person under sixteen years of age). A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for him, and the investigation is ongoing.
