Uzbekistan has witnessed a significant increase in tourist arrivals since the beginning of the year. In January-July, the country welcomed over 7.749 million foreign citizens, marking a rise of 1.4 million people, or 22.6%, compared to the same period in 2025.

According to the National Statistics Committee, the majority of visitors came from neighboring countries. Kyrgyzstan led the list with 2.18 million citizens visiting Uzbekistan over seven months. Kazakhstan followed with 1.86 million tourists, and Tajikistan ranked third with 1.73 million visits.

Russia also remained a key source of tourism, with 710,800 Russians arriving. Afghanistan contributed 281,200 tourists, China 269,700, and Turkmenistan 192,800. Turkey accounted for 111,900 visits. Rounding out the top ten were India with 32,500 and South Korea with 26,500 tourists.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan has decided to revamp its approach to national souvenirs, making them more modern, convenient, and attractive to tourists. To this end, the Uzbek Gift Contest has been launched, inviting designers and craftsmen to create new items that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary ideas.
