In the Baghdad district of the Fergana region, law enforcement authorities have uncovered an illegal religious school where 41 underage girls were being educated. Among them were children as young as 5-6 years old, who had not even reached school age.
According to the press service of the Fergana Regional Department of Internal Affairs, classes were held in a residential building in the Nurafshon neighborhood. Parents brought their daughters from Kokand, Uchkuprik, Yazyavan, Dangara, and Baghdad districts, paying 600,000 soums per month for each child.
The woman conducting the classes did not have the necessary higher education or diploma. A criminal case has been initiated against her for violating the order of teaching religious doctrines.
Additionally, administrative protocols have been drawn up against the parents of the minors for failing to fulfill their duties in raising and educating their children.
It is worth noting that earlier, the activities of an illegal hujra, where girls were given unauthorized religious lessons, were stopped in Margilan, Fergana region.
