In the Yakkasaray and Chilanzar districts of Tashkent, the activities of two individuals who were distributing drugs through stashes were suppressed. During searches, more than two kilograms of narcotic substances were found, along with equipment for their production and packaging.
The operational measures took place on August 3. In the Yakkasaray district, law enforcement officers detained a 33-year-old man and his 34-year-old accomplice, who had previously been convicted on drug trafficking charges.
The men were detained while distributing hashish through stashes. During an inspection of their Nexia-3 car, 20 grams of hashish oil were found.
After the detention, law enforcement checked the rented apartment that the suspects had equipped as a drug laboratory. The premises contained a full set of necessary production equipment, another 2 kilograms of hashish oil, marijuana and hashish, electronic scales, thousands of zip-lock bags, syringes, ready-made doses of drugs, and other items.
In total, 2.17 kilograms of drugs—about 10,700 doses—were removed from illegal circulation. A criminal case has been initiated.
Earlier, a court fined an Afghan citizen for attempting to bring hashish into Uzbekistan. The drug was found during his crossing of the state border.
