In the first half of 2026, Uzbekistan's economy and social sphere received investments totaling 338.9 trillion soums, marking a 17.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The largest share of investments went to industry, agriculture, and construction.
According to the National Statistics Committee, industry was the primary focus for investors, attracting 100.5 trillion soums. Agriculture, forestry, and fishing followed with 32.9 trillion soums, and construction with 32.5 trillion soums.
An additional 29.9 trillion soums was directed to the production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning. Housing construction received 27.3 trillion soums, while mining industry attracted 21.8 trillion soums.
Significant amounts were allocated to transportation and storage (16.3 trillion soums), wholesale and retail trade, as well as repair of vehicles and motorcycles (13.7 trillion soums).
Development of water supply, sewerage, waste collection, and processing received 7.4 trillion soums. Education got 7.2 trillion soums, information and communication 5.8 trillion soums, and accommodation and food services 5.6 trillion soums.
Professional, scientific, and technical activities, as well as healthcare and social services, received 4.6 trillion soums. Financial and insurance activities attracted 2.4 trillion soums, while arts, entertainment, and recreation received 2 trillion soums. The remaining 24.4 trillion soums were distributed across other sectors.
Earlier, Uzbekistan topped the global ranking for venture investment growth. Over the year, the volume of funding attracted by startups increased by 539.7%, the highest rate among all countries.
