The Uzbek government has adopted a resolution aimed at providing transport benefits for war invalids and participants, persons equated to them, as well as those who took part in eliminating the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

Starting October 1, these categories will be entitled to tickets for airplanes, trains, and intercity buses either free of charge or with a 50% discount.

Uzbekistan Airways JSC, resident airlines, Uzbekistan Railways, bus stations, and auto terminals will issue free or discounted tickets based on data from the information system of the National Agency for Social Protection.

To obtain a discounted ticket, individuals will only need an identity document — an ID card or biometric passport.

Depending on the mode of transport, beneficiaries will receive one of the following ticket types: for air travel — an economy class ticket; for rail travel — a seat in an economy class, third-class (platzkart), or second-class (coupe) carriage.

Additionally, from January 1, 2027, citizens will be able to purchase tickets free or at a discount through the mobile application “Social Card” (Baraka).

The costs of providing these transport services will be reimbursed by the National Agency for Social Protection from the State Budget.
