Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Over the first seven months of 2026, Uzbekistan's Migration Agency has helped citizens recover $570,000 in unpaid wages and compensations from foreign employers.

During this period, agency specialists reviewed appeals from citizens working abroad. The majority of issues were related to non-payment of salaries and compensations, as well as documentation and labor disputes.

In total, $570,000 was recovered in favor of 622 citizens from foreign employers.

The highest number of such cases was recorded in Russia – 375. In Turkey, the agency helped resolve 129 similar situations, in Korea – 85, and another 33 cases occurred in other countries.

Separate efforts were made regarding documents. Over seven months, 383 citizens managed to retrieve their identity documents that had been withheld by intermediaries or foreign employers.

The majority of these cases were also in Turkey and Russia – 185 and 182 respectively. Kazakhstan saw 11 cases, and Korea 5.

It is worth recalling that starting September 1, 2026, citizens of Uzbekistan over 18 years old who arrive in Moscow or the Moscow region without a visa for more than 90 days and not for work purposes will be required to register in the “Amina” app. This requirement will also affect students and adult family members of labor migrants.
