The administration of Tashkent Zoo is searching for a visitor who threw stones at animals on August 13. The actions could have harmed lion Alex and porcupines, the latter being in an open enclosure.

Footage published by the zoo shows a man throwing stones towards the animals. The porcupines were particularly at risk as their enclosure is not covered from above, allowing stones to fall directly inside.

A child standing nearby imitated the man's behavior. The visitor himself treated the incident as entertainment, even applauding himself after his "accurate" throws.

After the incident, zoo staff examined the porcupines to check their condition. The identity of the offender is being established through CCTV footage.

The zoo notes that information from visitors helps respond quickly to such situations. Witnesses of cruel or inappropriate behavior towards animals are asked to immediately contact staff or report it by calling +998 71 289 16 01.

Staff say they will continue to record such violations and take measures to protect animals.

This case is another incident publicly reported by the zoo. Previously, a visitor spat water towards the white lion enclosure. He later admitted his guilt and apologized.
